Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make scanned citizenship certificates and land records searchable?
Yes. Upload the scanned PDF and FastOCR adds a text layer behind each page. Faint ink, stamps and handwriting over print can be misread, so search for names and numbers and confirm them against the scan.
Will I be able to search Nepali words typed with a Nepali keyboard?
Yes. The text layer contains Devanagari Unicode text, so a search typed in Devanagari can match it. Conjunct letters may be stored differently from how you type them, so try a shorter word if a search finds nothing.
Does the searchable PDF look different from my scan?
No. The scanned page stays as the visible page, and the text sits invisibly behind it.
