Render PDF pages as lossless PNG pictures
PDF to PNG conversion renders each document page as a separate picture using lossless image encoding. PNG is useful for diagrams, screenshots and pages where clean text edges matter more than small download size. FastOCR uses the assembled page list, including any reordered, removed or rotated pages, to prepare the exported pictures in your browser. Resolution determines the image dimensions; larger dimensions require more memory and can make the download larger. A document with one page saves directly as a PNG file. Several pages save together in an ordered ZIP with numbered image names. Exported pictures have a white page background and contain the visible page appearance rather than selectable text, links or editable form fields. The source PDF remains available in the workspace for further page changes. Choose Organize pages when you want a PDF download instead. Conversion can report a recoverable error for unsupported browsers, protected files or pages that exceed safe rendering dimensions.
Questions
How do I convert a PDF to PNG?
Choose your PDF, select the resolution and download. A single page produces a PNG image; several pages produce a ZIP with images in page order.
Are my PDF pages uploaded to make PNG images?
No. This conversion runs locally in your browser and requires no account. A separate paid OCR action uploads a PDF only after you explicitly choose it.
Does the PNG output keep selectable text?
No. Each exported page is a picture. Keep the original PDF or switch to Organize pages to download a PDF that preserves existing selectable text.
Can I change the order before saving PNG files?
Yes. Open Show all tools and choose Organize pages to reorder, rotate or remove pages. Return to Export images without choosing the PDF again.
What settings affect PNG output?
Resolution controls image dimensions. PNG uses lossless image encoding and has no JPEG quality setting. This tool renders pages on a white background.
