Questions

Are my financial details uploaded?

No. This tool reads and converts your bank file in your browser. Your account numbers, names, amounts and transaction text are not uploaded or included in tool analytics.

Which QBO, OFX and QFX files work?

Bank and credit-card statements in OFX 1.x SGML or OFX 2.x XML work, including QBO and QFX variants. Investment and loan statements are not converted. Choose a file up to 10 MB with up to 50,000 transactions and 100 account statements.

Does this check whether QuickBooks will accept my file?

No. It checks readable structure, dates, amounts and transaction IDs. It does not verify institution authorization or guarantee acceptance by QuickBooks, Quicken or any other app.

Are repeated transaction IDs removed?

No. A repeated FITID is a warning, not proof of a duplicate payment. Every row is kept. Corrections are flagged for review rather than applied automatically.

What happens to dates and precise amounts?

Dates keep the calendar day written in the bank file, without timezone conversion. The original posting date is also exported. CSV keeps decimal amounts as supplied. Excel uses date and numeric cells where safe; amounts beyond safe Excel precision stay as text. Account and transaction IDs remain text in Excel.

Can I convert a PDF bank statement?

This free tool reads structured QBO, OFX and QFX files. For PDF or scanned statements, choose the separate FastOCR bank statement converter. It uploads the file only after you click and uses your free or paid page allowance.

How are invalid rows and spreadsheet formulas handled?

Invalid dates and amounts are kept as original text and flagged. CSV prefixes text that could be interpreted as a spreadsheet formula with an apostrophe. Excel writes text fields as text, never formulas. Review issues before using exports for bookkeeping; CSV apps may automatically reformat text IDs.
