Can I try Pro or MAX before paying?
Yes. Start with the free tier — free image OCR (3/day guest, 10/day account), 50 document pages per month. Upgrade when you need more. Pro and MAX both offer a 3-day free trial. During the trial, page limits are capped at 300 pages (Pro) or 500 pages (MAX) so you can evaluate the service before committing. Once the trial converts, you get the full monthly allowance.
How does API access work and where are the API docs?
FastOCR provides a high-speed REST API for Document OCR (100+ languages) and Bank Statement Extraction. Every account gets 50 free monthly API pages with API keys created in the developer console. Explore endpoint references, authentication guides, and quickstarts in our API Documentation at /docs.
What's the difference between document pages and bank statement pages?
Document pages turn documents and images into text and are included in every plan. Bank statement pages are a separate pool for bank statement extraction — a heavier process with balance consistency and source-grounding checks that produce a review signal. The two pools are not interchangeable: a Document Pack cannot process bank statements, and a Bank Statement Pack cannot process ordinary documents. Bank Statement Packs work with any plan, including Free.
Do I need a subscription to convert bank statements?
No. Your first bank statement is free, and after that you buy a one-time Bank Statement Pack. No subscription required.
What happens if a PDF exceeds my available page limit?
If your page quota runs out in the middle of processing a PDF, we OCR as many pages as your quota allows and deliver the output for those processed pages. You can top up anytime with a Document Pack to process the rest.
What are Document Packs?
Document Packs are one-time page purchases for users who do not want a recurring monthly subscription. They add extra document pages to your account, remain valid for 12 months, and work on all plans (including Free). They do not cover bank statement extraction.
What are Bank Statement Packs?
Bank Statement Packs are one-time pages for converting bank statements to best-effort XLSX, CSV, or JSON. The output includes a review signal based on balance consistency and source-grounding checks. Pages remain valid for 12 months and cannot be spent on ordinary documents.
Why do Bank Statement Packs cost more than document pages?
Bank statements require extra processing to extract transaction fields and run balance consistency and source-grounding checks. The result helps route work to automation or human review; it is not a guarantee that every value is correct.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your profile. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens to my files if I downgrade?
All your processed results stay accessible for 30 days regardless of plan. You keep everything you've already processed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and localized methods like iDEAL, Bancontact, and Klarna via Stripe.
