Questions

Can I convert XLSX and XLS to QBO for free?

Yes. Choose an .xlsx or .xls workbook and convert its first sheet in your browser. There is no sign-up or limit on how often you use the tool. The sample buttons open fictional Excel workbooks so you can try the full flow.

Which worksheet and columns does the converter read?

It reads only the first worksheet. Move the transaction sheet to the first position before saving your workbook. Each transaction needs a date, description and amount, or separate money-in and money-out columns. Review the detected columns and use Change it if a column is wrong.

What if my dates or credit-card signs are ambiguous?

Choose month-first or day-first dates when the tool asks. In the row details, choose Bank account or Credit card and review the Signs control. If purchases are positive in your source, flip the signs so payments and purchases have the intended direction. Review any rows left out because their date or amount is invalid.

Is QBO the same as QuickBooks Online?

No. A .qbo file is a QuickBooks Web Connect transaction file. QuickBooks Online also has a direct CSV upload option; the row details offer a QuickBooks Online CSV download. This tool does not import invoices, journal entries or an entire company file.

Will QuickBooks accept the generated file or prevent duplicates?

QuickBooks acceptance depends on the product, account and financial-institution information. Local checks do not guarantee an import. Transaction IDs are stable for unchanged rows and the same account ID, but bank-feed history may use different IDs. Use the same Account ID under Advanced and review overlapping transactions before adding them in QuickBooks.

Are my workbook and financial details uploaded?

No. Reading the workbook, reviewing rows and generating the download happen on your device. Financial contents and filenames are not included in tool analytics.

What if I only have a PDF or scanned bank statement?

Use the separate FastOCR bank statement converter for PDFs, scans and photos. It extracts the transactions and offers Excel, CSV and QuickBooks exports. That service uploads your file when you choose it and uses your free or paid bank-statement page allowance.
