Save the right page orientation
Rotating a PDF changes the orientation stored for its pages, rather than just turning the view in a reader. FastOCR writes that orientation into a new PDF, so the downloaded copy opens with the pages facing the direction you chose. Select a sideways page, turn it, and check the thumbnail before saving. A packet with mixed portrait and landscape pages does not require every page to turn together: apply rotation only where it is needed. The operation preserves existing text and page content without converting the document into images. That means a selectable paragraph remains selectable and a photograph is not recompressed simply because its page was turned. Your source PDF is not overwritten, and the processing stays inside the browser. Rotation also does not fix OCR errors or add a text layer to scans. If a corrected page still has no usable text, the optional searchable-PDF step can handle that after you finish arranging the document.
Questions
Does this save the PDF rotation permanently?
The downloaded PDF stores the new page orientation, so it is kept when the file is opened again.
Can I rotate only selected pages?
Yes. Select the pages that need turning and leave the others as they are.
Will rotating make the page blurry?
No. Rotation changes the page orientation without rasterizing the original content.
Does rotation make a scan searchable?
No. Turning a page does not recognize text. You can choose OCR separately for scanned pages.
Do I need to upload the PDF?
No. Page rotation and the new PDF are handled locally in the browser.
