Which languages can FastOCR read?
On the website and the API, FastOCR reads the languages in the table on this page, including Arabic, Chinese, English, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Spanish and Thai.
Do I need to choose the language before I upload?
No. FastOCR works out the language and script by itself, so there is no language menu to get wrong. Upload the file and read the result.
Do the Mac and Windows apps and the Chrome extension read the same languages?
Not necessarily. They read on your own device with their own engines, so each has its own language list. This page covers the website and the API.
My language is not in the table. What now?
Try a single image first, because single images need no account, and check the result before you rely on it. If you need help with a language, write to us.
