Can I search Khmer words in a searchable PDF when Khmer has no spaces between words?
Searching works on the text layer FastOCR adds, but Khmer is written without spaces, so a search matches the characters you type. Search for a distinctive part of a word or phrase, and try a shorter string if a long one finds nothing.
Does the searchable PDF keep Khmer subscript consonants (coeng) when I copy text?
The text layer is read from the scan, including subscript consonants. Copy a sample into a document and check that subscripts and vowel marks came through before you rely on it for an archive.
