Can I try Pro before paying?

Yes. Pro has a 3-day free trial with 50 pages, so you can try it on a real document. When the trial converts, you get the full 1,500 pages a month.

How does API access work and where are the API docs?

FastOCR provides a REST API for Document OCR (PDF files and PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP and BMP images, 100+ languages). Any signed-in FastOCR account can create an API key and start right away. Sign in and create an API key in the developer console (https://fastocr.org/developers/keys). You accept the API terms (https://fastocr.org/api-terms) with your first key. Run the quickstart (https://fastocr.org/docs#quickstart) with your key in FASTOCR_API_KEY. When you need more than the free pages, buy a Page Pack on the pricing page (https://fastocr.org/pricing?from=api#packs). Each account gets 50 free pages per month, shared with PDFs on the website. Packs: 500 pages for $4.99 ($9.98 / 1k), 2,500 pages for $19.99 ($8.00 / 1k), 10,000 pages for $69.99 ($7.00 / 1k), 25,000 pages for $149 ($5.96 / 1k), 100,000 pages for $499 ($4.99 / 1k). Endpoint references, authentication, and quickstarts are in our API Documentation at /docs.

What's the difference between pages and bank statement pages?

Pages are used by PDFs and by the API, from one balance. Every account gets 50 free pages a month, shared by PDFs and the API. Single image OCR on the web does not use pages; images sent through the API cost one page each. Bank statement pages are a separate pool for turning bank statements into Excel and CSV, with a balance check. The two pools are not interchangeable: a Page Pack cannot process bank statements, and a Bank Statement Pack cannot process ordinary documents. Bank Statement Packs work with any plan, including Free.

Do I need a subscription to convert bank statements?

No. Your first 50 bank statement pages are free, and after that you buy a one-time Bank Statement Pack. No subscription required.

What happens if a PDF exceeds my available page limit?

If your page quota runs out in the middle of processing a PDF, we OCR as many pages as your quota allows and deliver the output for those processed pages. You can top up anytime with a Page Pack to process the rest.

Can I translate a whole PDF?

Not yet. Translation and AI Polish work on single images. To translate a page of a PDF, upload that page as an image.

What are Page Packs?

Page Packs are one-time page purchases for users who do not want a recurring monthly subscription. They add pages to one balance that PDFs on the web and the API both use, never expire, and work on all plans (including Free). Packs run from 500 pages to 100,000 pages. They do not cover bank statement extraction.

What are Bank Statement Packs?

Bank Statement Packs are one-time pages for converting digital PDF statements from US and UK bank accounts to Excel and CSV. The page tells you whether the statement reconciles. Scanned statements and photos are read with OCR and may need more review. Card and loan statements are refused and not charged. Pages never expire and cannot be spent on ordinary documents.

Why do Bank Statement Packs cost more than document pages?

Bank statements need extra processing to read the transaction rows and check the balance arithmetic. The check is not a guarantee that every value is correct, so check dates and descriptions against your statement.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your account page. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

What happens to my files if I downgrade?

All your processed results stay accessible for 30 days regardless of plan. You keep everything you've already processed.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and localized methods like iDEAL, Bancontact, and Klarna via Stripe. In India you can pay in rupees with UPI, including Google Pay.
